prostate cancer diagnosis

Post a new topicby jafado on Fri Mar 12, 2010 5:26 pm

I have benn told that it is not possible to determine whether or not the cancer found in the prostate would eventually be lethal, even in the event that it is removed and examined after a radical prostatectomy.
This does not seem reasonable.Does anyone know the definitive answer to this issue?

I'm betting that is correct.

The guys hell bent on getting that pathology report are wasting their time. They still don't know if it's all gone. It's all a crap shoot.

I do wonder if the old PSA test gives us more info than we know ~ a lower score with cancer positive biopsy looks like it points to the aggressive cancer.
