walled off

Post a new topicby Guest on Sat Oct 25, 2003 5:57 am

Hello, can anyone suggest how to get out of the viscious ciricle of depression? 've jst done the profile though needen't have. Think my case loks severe, feel as if I was walled off from others, behind a glass pane, as if i couldn't communicate. My relations with others are not right, can't talk actuall or don't know what to talk about. Admit, have had suicidal thoughts for some time. Been to psychologist to talk about it, but unfortunately gave it up. Maybe should take it up once again?
Now, that i've writtin this out, i do feel relieved. Hope those of you who have made it throught will give me a boost, some inspiration, some strength.

I've been where you are, so I can say that I know what you're going through. I know you've heard this before, but it's true -- it does get better! Trust me. And whatever you do, don't act on any suicidal thoughts. I promise you this is only temporary, though it may seem like an eternity. You will get better. But you can't give up. If one therapist isn't working for you, try another. And remember that other people and God care about you.

If writing this made you feel better try starting a journal. It really does work, I had an anger journal years ago. I thought it was a silly idea but it did work.
