Chest Pain radiates into Neck.My mother has been complaining about chest pains she has that radiate into her neck. She says after taking baby aspirins they go away. She is very wary of doctors but I feel she needs to see one. Could her condition be life threatening?
Re: Chest Pain radiates into Neck.Your mom sounds like she might be like many other people, she just hates going to a doctor. If she hasn't seen one in awhile she could probably use a physical anyway.
The pain could be a symptom of something serious or not. Nebulous, transient pain is hard to evaluate from a description. How long has this been happening? Are there any other symptoms associated with the pain, shortness of breath and/or sweating? Does it happen in a particular posture, while she sleeps or exercises? Is it related to a particular body movement like lifting an arm or turning the head? Are their any nodular swellings in the area? There are a lot of things to consider which is why we have doctors in the 1st place.
