Subcapsular Cataract

Post a new topicby Zimbar on Sun Sep 16, 2007 1:13 pm

Question - Is pain on bending over a symptom of a cataract? I have been diagnosed with a subcapsular cataract in my left eye. I have also been troubled by several incidents of iritis in that eye, but have been told that is no longer an issue because the eye doctor no longer sees any inflamation. I still have pain on bending forward (good pressure of15) and this is limiting some of my everyday activities. When I asked my eye doctor, he just shrugged his shoulders & said, "I don't know - maybe!". I am about to sign up with a new eye MD & wonder if I should memtion the pain on bending forward or just hope that it goes away when the cataract is fixed. Thanks!

I would mention it to your cataract doctor, I am not aware of pain with bending over, I do know a patient whose headaches went a away when his cataract was fixed.
