I have been a US resident for the past 8 years. My mother still resides in my country of birth (Colombia). She has suffered from Cataracts for over 5 years and already lost sight from one eye after a failed surgical procedure. About two weeks ago she started seeing blurry from her good eye and we are afraid she will completely loose her vision. She is allowed to enter the US as tourist, but i am not sure if 1. she will be able to be treated here with her current legal status 2. if there is clinic or hospital that could retrieve her vision from lost eye and prevent the cataract from advancing in good eye. Please if sombody has an answer to one of these questions or both, i woukld greatly appreciate it.
