Is anyone aware of studies on the effect of ejaculation frequency on BPH symptoms? I've read about the positive effects of regular ejaculation related to prostate cancer and CP/PPS, but I haven't seen anything related to BPH My urologist thinks it is patient dependent - some do better, some have even more irritation. If all else fails, I guess there is always trial and error. I just don't want to make things worse. Thank uou.

I am not a doctor, but I have read about a condition called Congestive Prostatitis. " Every day a healthy prostate secretes between one-tenth and two-fifth teaspoon of prostatic fluid. When you are sexually aroused, however, you produce between 4 and 10 times that amount. Normally, you release it through ejaculation. But if you do not ejaculate, the fluid builds up and the prostate becomes congested." Check Congestive Prostatitis on the computer.
