My Aunt Pris has ALS. She has had this disease for about a year now. It breaks my heart to see her in the condition that she is in now. My name is Kenzie; I'm a high school student in Ohio trying to raise money for my aunt. I am not only raising money for her but for the ALS Foundation. I want to do this for my Aunt and plus I have to; it is for a Senior Project at my school. We call it SEAP or Senior Exit Action Project...yes it is a mouth full but my goal is to have an ALS walk to raise awareness about this disease and how many more people have being diagnosed with it each year.
I have not got in touch with the ALS Foundation or any others for that matter but I will. Once I do I hope to learn that they host one every year and if not then I would love to represent them. I want to be able to raise $1,000 dollars...half for the Foundation and the other half for my Aunt Pris’s treatment. If I get above and beyond that I will be thrilled! I need to have this walk soon before it gets too cold to walk. I hope to get enough people to walk with me and raise money for my cause but most importantly is to raise awareness. To raise awareness is the best way to get more people informed and involved, to make others as passionate about this as I am.
